Bill Shannon I'm a massive fan of Italian genre cinema of the 60s & 70s and have been since the early 90s. This "mixtape" is a tribute or homage to the gialli and poliziotteschi and the masterful musicians who provided their soundtracks. Like Goblin, Ennio Morricone, Stelvio Cipriani and the like. The films of other nations are also covered herein.Classics all. This is a must own for fans of the thriller of decades past. Wonderful! Nostalgic and emotional! A real gem!!

about

A companion mix for my second album "Instinct", which explores the cinematic music continuum. It brings together contemporary artists that drive their inspiration from the 1960's and 70's film and library music, and using dialogues from selected movies of that era, assembles them into an imaginary crime thriller narrative of its own.
